Ok, here's the first post showing cash monies spent. Of course it was on good things, GLITTER.
I hit some random cosmetics shop on the way home from work, on the way to Powell's. I was looking for the Smashbox product.
I spent:
1. Smashbox - Brow Wax ( I use more of that then the color, so I have 3 half empty auburn powders to use with it)
2. GLITTER POLISH - $3.99. (I wish it was cherry red)
3. GLITTER Eyeshad0ws - $5.99.
I was super amazed at the glitter content and size. I was also amazed that there were like 10 different color pallets to choose from. I went for golds of course.
Oooohhh aaaaahhhh, I of course had to slather each one on my eyelids after I got home. It might have been a bit Divine-esqu, but it was sparkly.
Then I went over to Powell's and got the 1st book in the Stephanie Plum Series, recomended to me by my friend Jessi. Her grandma has the rest of the series for me, that I will collect from her next week (SWEET!!). Sidebar- I am a super fast reader and burn through series like crazy, so I like ones that are at least 10 books strong.
This set me back $4.99.
Since it's still 2010, I'm not starting my running tally on purchases. I figure everything I just bought will keep me busy for a while.

Hello 2011!
Still a couple of days off, but I thought I'd say hi early.
I stared this blog 2 years ago, in an effort to stop shopping as much. It's helped. I can honestly say I have completely reformed my shopping habits. This year, I am proud to report I ditched Visa, Discover, and Retail Credit. All I have to say, is SUCK IT. (now I just need to get my kidneys back from Sallie Mae.)
This coming year, and now, I am going to continue posting things I want, things I have thrifted, and things I have bought. As an effort to not consume as much, and to show what I consume. A few of my lady friends are posting as well. I'm also going to put pricing, to keep track of what I've spent, since I hope sharing that will keep my spending in check more.
Happy New Years.

Merry Glitter Christmas
So it's been complete glitter fuckery for about the last month with me. I thought I'd post the last 2 weeks of nails.
Last week:
Done with:
Tip - The Love & Beauty is sold at Forever 21 AND Urban Outfitters. Guess who is cheaper by half? I stared with 1 coat of that polish, then moved on to the subtle glitter of the Millani, then a dollop of mega glitter, then some Mega Shine.
This week:
Done with:
Cheap-o Tip - The Art Deco nail art polish is sold all over, and also at the Dollar Tree, for $1. I have seen it for upwards of $4 at other places. I stocked up when I saw it there, and I see it there often now. I started with 1 coat of the Maybeline Coral to pop the glitter. (It is mission impossible to find red glitter with real glitter that is not for details only). I then moved on to 2 coats of the Maroon Glitter. Then tipped with the Green Art Deco, topped off with a Mega Shine.
This is the best beauty product I have purchased all year. The glitter is super thick. I did my nails up in all glitter and it was wonderful (and also caused my co-worker to call my nails a Tranny-cure). The only problem it is so thick that it doesn't last long, and the entire polish will pop off like a press on nail in a few days. I'm going to a Glittery New Year's party, so I'll post a photo when I doll my nails up then.
Merry Christmas.

Treasures of Goodwill
I love the shit I find at the Goodwill. This last week was especially entertaining, which inspired me to dig up the photos I have been meaning to post of the treasures of Goodwill.
Pegasus Clock, so I may have for reals purchased this if it was a Unicorn, not JUST a Pegasus. I don't think Modge Podge was supposed to be used in this way.
These next two ties have me stumped. Are they promoting oil spills and nuclear energy?
Toxic Waste? Most def, not on my Fathers Day gift list.
This was in on a quarter machine. As if kids weren't creepy enough without mustaches.
This was just odd, and rather large.
But wait! He wants to tell you a secret.
These two lovelies were the "prizes" to my favorite holiday party - 99Cent Gift Exchange Extravaganza - this year was the 11th one! The gem of wonder on the left was a flocked plastic Virgin Mary piggy bank. The right....well, is only what we had been calling Seashell Jesus. You can't see, but all his fingers had an unfortunate accident except the middle one.
This week, I found these two lovelies, and for 99cents each I had to bring them home. (Perhaps next years prizes for the party??). Creepy clown is limp and you can pose him in a variety of ways. I am contemplating taking him to work, just to make my cube creepy. If you take that little hat off, he has odd bald spots on his head.
This shit is just freaky. Free floating doll face. I love it.
Thank you Goodwill!
